Memory Card..

 Handle Memory Card

Advances in technology have made digital cameras, which were expensive a few years ago, quite affordable. So we see at least two-four digital cameras in any situation. The photos captured by these cameras are stored on their memory cards.

The capacity of this memory card depends on how many photos can be stored in it. But this memory card can sometimes get damaged or corrupted. If that happens, the photos cannot be viewed again.

Lack of adequate information is a major reason for card damage. While taking a photo, before the image is completely printed on the card, if for some reason the camera is turned off or the memory card is damaged, the chances of damage increase.

Why do memory cards go Currupted?

We often eject a photo taken by a digital camera before it is printed on the memory card. Doing so may corrupt the card.

Photos from the camera are transferred to the computer using a card reader. Removing the card from the card reader while this is in progress may damage it.

Also, if you remove the memory card while the camera folder or file is running on the computer, it increases the chance of damage. The battery must be sufficient when transferring photos from the camera.

This is because if the battery runs out while the photo is being transferred and the camera turns off, the card is damaged. Do not take pictures when the camera battery is running out. If the battery icon is completely empty, charge the battery and then take the photo.

Take Care of the memory card.

After taking a photo with a digital camera, taking pictures continuously without giving enough time to print the image onto the card creates 'bad sectors' on the memory card.

Also, these 'bad sectors' are created and the card gets corrupted by continuously taking and deleting photos. Using a card in one camera without formatting it in another camera can also damage the card.

Try formatting the memory card in the camera itself. Continuous formatting on a computer can also damage the card. Do not keep the memory card in the wallet. This can damage the metal strips of the card. It can also change its size.

If you are not careful while using the card, you can lose the memories and moments you have captured.
